Calumet County is proud to announce the launch of its new website, www.selectcalumet.com, created to attract talented professionals to explore and apply for exciting career opportunities within the growing business community of Wisconsin’s Calumet County. This initiative supports Calumet County’s ongoing efforts to enhance economic development and community growth within one of Wisconsin’s fastest growing counties.
SelectCalumet.com highlights the diversity of the communities, businesses, and unique career offerings available within the county, which include openings in key sectors such as engineering, manufacturing, production, healthcare, and education. SelectCalumet.com promotes the benefits of living and working in Calumet County, highlighting the region’s excellent schools, robust healthcare facilities, and strong community spirit.
"Our job offerings are many, and we are seeking skilled individuals who are eager to join our thriving community," says Jason Pausma, Economic Development Director, for Calumet County. "From companies like AriensCo and Sargento representing our flourishing manufacturing sector, to agriculture, healthcare, and engineering, Calumet County offers a wide array of opportunities.”
The website also underscores the convenience and superior quality of life in Calumet County, reflecting the county’s status as one of the very top fastest-growing counties in Wisconsin, with a remarkable growth rate of 7.2%, well above the state average.
This initiative has been made possible partly due to funding from a grant through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), which supports local projects aimed at enhancing the economic landscape of the region.

The Calumet County Highway Department is closely monitoring winter operations to manage snow and ice events effectively. This winter has seen a significant increase in such events, doubling previous years' records, and consequently, a rise in salt usage. Data indicates that we might exhaust our salt supply by the end of winter. Thus, we've decided to implement salt conservation measures starting today, and may reassess the situation later in the season.
For questions or concerns, please reach out to the Highway Department at (920) 849-1434. Thank you for understanding and for helping to keep our highways safe.
The parks department is pleased to release our updated Calumet County Outdoor Recreation Plan. The Calumet County Outdoor Recreation Plan is essential in the future planning of the Calumet County park system. We welcome public comments on the plan throughout this summer.
