Information and Assistance (I&A) is a core service of the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC). I&A Specialists are a staff of professionals who are trained to assist older adults and adults with disabilities to determine their needs and consider what services and programs are available in their area to meet their specific needs.
Trained professionals take the time that is needed to establish a personal rapport, and explain the role of the ADRC and how they will work in collaboration with the person to understand all of the individual's concerns and offer potential resources and solutions that the individual may choose.
The general public may access the I&A Specialists through the telephone, email, or by dropping in at the Calumet Branch Office in Chilton. I&A professionals frequently make home visits to discuss options and provide resource materials.
